Volunteer to help the community

Are you looking for a new challenge and want to give back to your community?

Oxfordshire South and Vale Citizens Advice are looking for volunteers to work in our friendly offices in Henley and elsewhere.

We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way, whoever they are and whatever their problem.

Last year, our 127 volunteers supported more than 9,200 people. We were able to help four out of five people solve their problems. We are looking for:

Advisors. After comprehensive training, you will advise clients in person or by phone or online chat.

We advise on a wide range of topics including debt management, benefits, employment, housing and relationship issues.

You will need good computer skills and a desire to help people in your local area

Receptionists. You will meet and greet customers, enter customer data, sort customer mail and documents, send reminder text messages to customers, and make and receive phone calls.

IT specialists. Necessary to help maintain our computer systems and support the service. Assist staff and volunteers with day-to-day IT issues, such as login, Wi-Fi, and location or file access issues.

We would also welcome help in maintaining our local Citizens Advice website.

Training and HR manager. Assist our training and HR manager.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to help produce training materials, run training sessions, maintain training records and assist with HR administration.

You are ideally accustomed to using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

We would like you to be available for two sessions per week if possible, either morning, afternoon or full day.

We offer a rewarding, flexible and supportive work environment.

If you would like to contribute to your local community, learn new skills and meet new people, please email [email protected]
